Contract Administration

In the construction industry, a Contract Administrator is the individual responsible for administering construction contracts, a service we offer to ensure that our client’s contractor delivers a project on time and budget. We monitor each project on site to ensure that the contract is administered in accordance with how it was written to ensure that our client gets what they pay for.

Whilst most contractors are honest and reasonable, it can be easy for them to pull the wool over the eyes of a client who is not fully savvy with construction contracts. It’s not uncommon for a contractor to start work and ask for additional costs once on site and at a time when it is harder to say no or to barter those costs. We are often appointed by the client to record the progress of an appointed contractor, chair site progress meetings, manage variations and changes and ensure costs submitted for payment have been completed to the standard that is required, as well as preparing a VAT assessment to calculate the zero-rated works relating to disability.

Project Management

Construction projects can be fraught with issues and complexities which place unnecessary stress on clients and their families. As project managers, we are familiar with these issues, and the stresses that go with them, meaning we know how to avoid and overcome them.

Project managers should be appointed as early in the development of a project as possible to help us obtain a brief, advise the need for and source all the relevant consultants by tendering competitive quotes for quantity surveyors, services engineers, structural engineers and any other required consultants. We maintain your project’s programme, advise on budgeting and monitor the progress of the whole project and its team.

We aim to take the weight off our clients’ shoulders and put it in the capable hands of someone who consistently delivers construction projects from start to finish, saving unnecessary stress and ensuring projects are delivered successfully.
